The Church of St. Lucia is an elegant building with typical late Baroque, early Rococo decorations. It houses interesting works of art together with an organ made by the master organ builders Canonici di Montecarotto and installed in 1707. The remains and relics of Blessed Sister Maria Crocifissa Satellico (1706-1745), beatified in 1993 by Pope John Paul II, are kept here.
Richly decorated in Baroque style with stuccoes on the altars depicting putti and foliage and raceme decorations, typical of the late Baroque, early Rococo taste, it houses a magnificent altar with a central shrine containing a wooden Crucifix, and two elegant side altars containing 18th-century canvases, one depicting the Madonna with St. Charles Borromeo, St. Luigi Gonzaga and St. Catherine, and the other Madonna with St. Francis, St. Peter, St. Bonaventure and St. Clare, recently returned to their former glory thanks to a recent restoration. In the choir loft is an organ made by the master organ builders of the Canonici family of Montecarotto and installed in 1707. The remains and relics of Blessed Sister Maria Crocifissa Satellico (1706-1745), who was Mother Abbess of the adjoining Poor Clare Monastery and was beatified in 1993 by Pope John Paul II, are venerated in the church today.
